Peace @ Large

Welcome!

         The Purpose of Peace @ Large is to spread peace literacy through education, student outreach and expansive community building. The mission is a movement towards a positive future through building community, empowering the people with knowledge, and allowing the peacemakers to make real change in the community and the world. Our largest current goal is to get a Peace Studies Program started here at USF. The mission is distinctly positive, and will seek to transform the negatives that are so detrimental to individuals, community and the world at large.

Join Us: To be an official member of P@L, login to Blackboard and click on the 'Organizations' tab. then go to the 'Student Organizations' box (located on the bottom-right corner) and click on 'Search'. Under 'Category' go to 'Social Justice'. From the list choose 'Peace at Large (PAL), USF Chapter', and finally 'Request to Join Organization'. If you have any questions or issues on how to join P@L, please contact one of our officers under Contact Us.

Current Projects:

• Peace Pole Installation in the new Marshall Student Center Plaza
• Creation of an after school tutoring program for at risk youth
• Creation of Peace Studies Major at the University of South Florida
• Creation of Community Parties
